good looks, rip it out and take to a scrap deaer

With out more information, it’s hard to say, but most water in newer homes, are delivered by copper plumbing, as it doesn’t corrode, like the old galvanized pipes.
Follow where it comes from, to where it ends up. If it leads to your faucet, then it’s your water supply line.

It is most likely a water line, it could supply water to the sink, the dishwasher, Ice maker, or anything that requires water. The only way to know for sure is to look and see where it goes to.

Typically those are there to feed a water dispenser, either hot or cold, or a dishwasher. If it’s 1/4″ tubing, the former. If it’s 3/8″ tubing, the latter.

water supply line? do you have an icemaker in your fridge?
