The tile/grout edge behind my kitchen sink is turning slight black and loosening the caulk?
because everytime I use the sink, when I turn the faucet off the water from my hands slides down to the back of the sink and kind of lays there. How can I prevent this from happening. Is there something I can put between the back of the kitchen sink and the tiled wall ? Please help !

When you are done with the dishes, dry your hands, & then dry around the sink. Use a bleach or cleaner with bleach for the black, it is mold. If you dry the area when you are done, you will not encourage mold to grow back.
It needs resealing.
If the grout is breaking off, get a sharp knife or ***** driver, scrape it off and remove it. Clean it thoroughly with bleach and let it dry.
Buy a silicone sealer from a hardware store. They come in white as well as other colours. There are new ones on the market you don’t even need a caulk to spread. Just fill it in and smooth it off with your finger. Let it dry. It’ll look as good as new.

First you have to get rid of the mold with bleach and then scrape the old caulk off. Replace the caulking with the best caulk you can find. To prevent this in the future, wipe the wet area each time you wash your hands. It only takes a second and every once in a while clean the area with bleach. Or, wipe your hands and then shut the water off.
