Why does water come up into my dishwasher when I run water into the kitchen sink?

Whenever I drain the kitchen sink, water bubbles up into the dishwasher. I cannot help but think this isn’t very sanitary and so have been doing dishes by hand instead. Is this common, typical, or normal? Or Is this an issue that needs a plumber? Thanks

Why don’t I have water pressure only in my kitchen sink?

I have plenty of water pressure in my bathroom and have already checked the water meter and there doesn’t seem to be a leak. I also checked the shut off valves under the sink and everything seems to be in order. so why don’t I have much water pressure only in my kitchen? It just started a few weeks ago. Please help!
I took some of your advice and tried cleaing the screen and that didn’t work either- grrrrr! This is frustrating.

How do i make my cat stop pissing in the kitchen sink?

I have 3 cat boys , but one of them its just a little devil , very smart but very independent in his actions, when ever he doesnt get food when he wants then he is pissing in the kitchen sink , dont get me wrong that i dont feed them , I DO !! and enough , hard food is there non stop and 3 times a day soft one. So usually he does it in the middle of the night when i sleep or when we are away from home too long. I really tryed everything, i put him with his nouse in there , i spray him with water, and i can see the little ******* understand its wrong and that i **** it but still he does it, because after he does it and i just give him a look about what he just did he runs out and look guilty , or other times he just give that bad look like he did it in purpose.
Any other suggestions ??
They are all doing there stuff outside in the garden i dont need a pot in the house.

My kitchen sink drain/garbage disposal is clogged with potato peels. How do I unclog?

My daughter clogged the kitchen sink drain/garbage disposal with potato peels. How do I unclog? HELP!!

Currently, water is slightly backed up in both sides of our double sink. I tried to run the garbage disposal which temporarily shifts the water to the opposite sink. Same thing happens when I use a toilet plunger to unclog the sink. (water shifts from one side to another)

What can I do to get the sink unclogged? I’ve got lots of cooking to do for my son’s graduation party this Saturday.

An added note: the disposal is not jammed…it runs just fine but it efforts seem ineffective.

Is it ok to put Drano in your kitchen sink to get rid of the standing water?

I normally use it for my bathtub/ bathroom sink.
I don’t know if there will be a problem if used on a kitchen sink.
I mean that’s where you put/wash your dishes and it might be harmful to your body. Anyone ever done it?

Can anyone help me with identifying odor in kitchen and under kitchen sink?

Mysterious chemical-like odor under kitchen sink which can also can be noticed (more subtly) in the kitchen overall. New home purchased 3 months ago. Did some kitchen work…installed new sink, pipes. The odor is definitely not from anything stored under cabinet. It is driving me crazy and I really want to get to the bottom of it. Wondering if it’s sewer gas or some kind of mold/mildew problem from wet wood under cabinet. I’m at a loss and will do anything to resolve this. Thinking of getting an air/gas check. Also, don’t know if it’s related but our plumbing is a bit weak in terms of vacuum/suction. Anybody have any advice? Thanks!

Does anybody know any home remedy to get rid of the stink from a kitchen sink’s garbage disposer?

I’ve heard you can pour various items or throw various items down a kitchen sink and make it smell more pleasing.

Anyone got a real solution? My kitchen sink smells real bad.

The bugs are little black bugs with a pair of white wings. Our kitchen has a leak so it is wet underneath our sink. They appear during the afternoon

I live in the country and my water comes from a well. It is only the kitchen sink where I have this problem. I do have a dishwasher, too.

Is there an adapter that will allow me to hook up a garden hose to my kitchen sink?

I know they make special hoses for the house. Im just seeing if theres a cheaper option. I live in an apartment and we have a window above our kitchen sink that leads to the back yard. I need a hose to spray down the yard after i pooper scoop ( i have two dogs). It would also be nice to bath them on the back porch. Im not sure if the specialty indoor hoses will handle all that. oh and if there is an adapter where do i find it???
