kitchen sink makes gurgle noise when washing wachine is used?

My kitchen sink makes a gurgling noise when I use my down stairs washing machine . Is this a venting problem??
I used to hear the gurgling noise in the upstairs bathroom sink, but I snaked out the venting pipe (from the sink, not the roof) and the noise stopped, Could this be the same thing with the kitchensink /washing machine? Is this a job a layman can fix himself? Or is the issue related to something else
Thanks

snake those pipes and it should stop

Probably plugged ( or partially plugged) vent. Try snaking the entire length from the roof.

Yep, a venting problem; venting through the sink. You could install a separate vent; one brand is a Studor vent. It would install adjacent to the laundry standpipe or laundry sink, wherever it drains. If you have a standpipe, you’ll have to install a sanitary Tee and then attach the Studor to it. It only opens when venting is needed and should correct the problem. You can get them at any hardware store; lowes, etc.

When the weather is fit..go out & chuck your garden hose down the vent pipes & flush them out..
