Is it ok to put Drano in your kitchen sink to get rid of the standing water?

I normally use it for my bathtub/ bathroom sink.
I don’t know if there will be a problem if used on a kitchen sink.
I mean that’s where you put/wash your dishes and it might be harmful to your body. Anyone ever done it?

u can use draino on ur kitchen sink, just make sure u rinse the sink well with fresh water afterwards, and then give it a quick general clean as u would if ud finished a load of dishes =)

Read the instructions. I don’t think you can pour it into standing water. You need to bail the water out first. There is no problem with using it in the kitchen sink as long as you pour it directly down the drain. If you are using Liquid Drano…. never mind.

You can but, I’d prefer “Plumbers helper” in the commercial type.

If you have a double sink, have one person cover the drain in the left sink while another person uses a plumers helper in the right sink. this worked for me

It’s OK but it’s not a wise thing to do if you have a disposer, the chemical is hard on the seals and moving parts of the disposer, Use the plumbers helper.
