I have a clogged double-bowl kitchen sink with garbage disposal?

Try turning on the garbage disposal. If the disposal will not turn on check under the sink. On the side of the disposal is a red reset button. Press this then try the disposal again. If the disposal is not working after reset you need to replace it.

What I always do never fails. While the disposal is running place the plunger over the disposal and slowly push down. Now quickly pull up. Do a few times. It has always worked for me.

on the bottom of the disposal is a small reset button, try that.
Also, make sure its off stick your hand down in there and see if the disposal blades are caught up on something.
I had this occur last week, a green scratcher pad got down the drain and was all wound up in the “blades” for the disposal once I got that out of there, it worked like a champ.
If this doesnt work and the disposal isnt turning on, you need a new one.
If the disposal is working but nothing is draining, you need to call a plumber.

The particles from the disposer have jammed up in the “Y” where the two drain pipes meet. (That’s before the trap.) Take it apart, clean out the blockage.
