How do you clean the filter inside the kitchen faucet sink?

We have very low water pressure in our kitchen sink, which happened right after we put in a new water heater. I was told that there might be calcium deposits on the filter, and I tried to get it off, but I couldn’t get it. Is there a trick? Note: there is no other problems with any of the other faucets/toilets in the rest of the house. Thanks

It unscrews, there is a screen or an airator that catches the tiny rocks and minerals. use a finger nail brush. I hated mine I threw it away. If there is hard water deposits or calcium (white ) soak it in vinegar over night. Use a pipe wrench or open your pkiers up all the way and put a towel around the spigot to keep from scratching it

You need to possibly get a wrench to take it off. Use a towel around it though as the wrench will scratch it. Disasemble. soak in vinegar, and then replace.

If you can’t unscrew it, its harder to clean…but I am reminded of those commercials where they make the shower head spray better…

take a CLR type cleaner, put it in a small bowl and hold it up so the faucet head is in the cleaner.

If it is calcium deposits they should dissolve in the cleaner and your water pressure should improve. Good luck.
