Do I have to center the kitchen sink under the kitchen window?

I don’t have room for much cabinet space and I’ve chosen a design that takes the kitchen sink about six inches off center. Do I chose the centered sink or the cabinet space?

Center the sink. It will disturb the eye, every time you look at it and it will always look off to others.

I would like it centered. But that’s me! If you don’t want it there put it off-center. For re-sale value though, center it!

6″ off center? IMO thats a poor design it should either be centered or completely away from the window.

In the long run, I think you will like the looks of the centered sink. You may be able to pick up storage space some other way.

both hunter and happy are exactly right. You can put a sink where ever you want. However, if you only install it just a little bit off centered it will bug you looking at it and all guests that see it 2. If you install it in the center it will help any resale on the house maybe look at a different style of sink maybe a sink that isn’t so deep. or if money is available maybe something more decorative like a sink that mounts ontop of the counter, the big punch bowl looking faucets. Good luck

center the sink, it will look way better.
