Any advise on refinishing/resurfacing an aluminum kitchen sink?

We went on vacation and left a leaking bleach bottle in our aluminum kitchen sink and when we returned, we found that the aluminum had corroded in several places and there are little holes in the sink. I don’t really want to replace the entire sink so I was hoping someone could suggest ways to fix the holes left by the bleach. Thank you lots!

I don’t think you can fix it. Aluminum sinks are very inexpensive. You can get a cheap one for $30.00 or so.

are the holes really small? you might be able to use an epoxy glue but it would never look good.

Do the holes actually go all the way through the metal?

One thing you could try would melt some lead or lead-free solder (better, given it is around food) into the holes. Then you could sand everything smooth. Solder will be about the same color as the aluminum.

I’d guess the sink is stainless steel, not aluminum.

It must be replaced or you will end up replacing both the sink and the cabinet later on.
