how is my bathroom shower drain linked to my kitchen/ bathroom sink?

I cleaned my shower last night with comet. This morning, when i turned on the shower, bathroom sink, and kitchen sink, there was a pause like built up pressure, and then the greenish water that ran down my shower drain from the night before came spitting out. does this mean whenever i i turn on my faucet to get a drink i run the risk of drinking waste water.i rent an apartment. thanks for the help
i can understand if all the pipes drain into the same place but how can the tub drain back up and flow out of the kitchen faucet. isn’t it suppose to be a totally different system - incoming water supply / sewage drains. i don’t understand how that is even possible

How do you soundproof a kitchen sink?

My wife and I purchased a copper kitchen sink that has no soundproofing. The metal is relatively thick, but we’re concerned that the sound of the water running in it and pots banging in it will be magnified by the lack of soundproofing. Any suggestions on how to dampen the sounds?

I recently told him that pirranahs sometimes inhabit toilet water and that someday they will leap out of the toilet to munch and eat his ****. LOL!
Bad, I know…but now he’s taking squats over the kitchen sink and popping in there out of fear of pirranahs chomping him up. I’m thinking of telling him that grizzly bears inhabit kitchen sinks….By the way, hes already ruined my Chicago Red Wings coffee cup. Damn brat…so any suggestions?

I pissed in the soap water in the kitchen sink because I couldn’t make it to the BR?

I always wait until the last second to take a ****. This is the third time I ended up pissing right in the KITCHEN sink. This time there was water in the sink with dishes in it. I forgot to empty out the sink and refill it when I was done. My mother just washed the dishes in my ***. What should I do? Do you think I’m disgusting?

Gurgling noises from the kitchen sink?

My kitchen sink gurgles after our humidifier in our basement now and then empties into our basement tub sink which then empties into a sewage pump that is pumped out of the house via the sewage pipe. We just installed a new dishwasher and it started there, but the gurgling occurred in the basement sink as well before that. Anyone have any ideas? I’m just hoping nothing’s backing up or broken… or expensive to fix.

What is the average height of a farmhouse apron sink in a kitchen?

To sum it up…the existing plumbed area, for the kitchen sink, is below a window. I am afraid it is not tall enough for average size cabinets. My idea for a solution to this problem, rather than change the window, is to custom build a cabinet for a farmhouse sink. Got any other ideas? The area is only 32″ in heighth before the window frame. Or….do I have big problems?

I ruined the finish on my kitchen sink - can this be salvaged?

I poured a disinfectant for toilets (The Works) on my stainless steel kitchen sink b/c it said it removes rust, lime scale, and hard water stains. I didn’t read the back of the bottle until after I did this and it said to not use on stainless steel. Now my sink has yucky streaks down it and in the crevices, its black. I tried to polish the sink with Clorox powder but it didn’t seem to help. Can anything be done to correct my stupid error?

I had an electrical problem & the electrition grounded a pipe from my main water line to my main breaker box & now i have brown water coming out of my kitchen sink & trickling out.
only in 1 sink.what is causing this?& is this an expencive job?
